API, or application programming interface is a means to facilitate the use of applications developed to enable the use of a specific hardware or software within a given computer system, in other environments.
Types of APIs;
- HTTP API: HTTP API allows for SMS messages to be sent with the post or get methods. Recommended in cases when 50 or more messages are to be sent.

SOAP WEB SERVICE API: An API developed for sending a large number of SMS messages. Since SOAP is a web service, it follows an XML structure and was developed in line with international standards.

- Microsoft CRM API
- SMPP API: This application can function like an SMPP server in listening to, sending and reporting SMS messages received via SMPP.
